This kit consists of an adapter to mount a Rochester TBI adapter onto a SAE 1-1/4" 2V intake manifold flange, which has a 1-7/8" x 3-1/4" bolt pattern.  This flange was commonly used for mounting a Carter BBD carburetor on Chrysler 2bbl V8 and Super Six intake manifolds.  When estimating hood clearance, allow 1" for the adapter and TBI gaskets between the BBD gasket and the TBI unit.

This adapter is a two piece design because the mounting bolts and venturi holes of the TBI and the intake manifold differ so much.  Because of the two-piece design, there is a step in the adapter.  For better performance, users may smooth out the step with epoxy or some other filler material.  The Rochester TBI's hold-down bolts come through in close proximity to the intake manifold flange's sides.  The bolts must either be shortened by ~1/4" or each side (left & right) or the intake manifold base must be modified with a bit of grinding.
